For my NaNoWriMo writing space I found a fancy schmancy curtain, and check out that awesome clock! Oh, and don’t forget my owl pictures. 🙂
Happy Canada Day everyone! Yesterday’s festivities down at the park were well attended. Multicultural dance, music, food and the wonderful art, pottery and jewelry booths were icing on the cake. I did not attend the fireworks display as my all day dose of fresh air had me asleep by 10:00… how embarrassing!
Having today as a STAT day helped me get caught up on laundry and grocery shopping. I can’t say a lot of house work got done… or yard work actually, but I have finished reading the Half Blood Prince and have started the Deathly Hallows. What will I read when I am done the Harry Potter series? I was thinking maybe having a go at the Hunger Games. The movie was awesome and I know that my son really liked the books so I may have a winner there.
I find it interesting how my reading taste has gone to young adult while I am trying to get back on track with my romance writing. “Write what you read” is a well versed thought, but I like what I am reading right now, maybe even learning some new styles and vocabulary.
Have a great night everyone and happy reading.
I would like to direct everyone’s attention to my additional pages – weekly writing helpful hints, a book review blurb on Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone and writing contests.
I plan to develop these pages and keep them as updated as possible, so please enjoy.
Head on over to my book reviews page to see my first entry on the first book in J.K. Rowling’s blockbusters series – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
I will be adding to this post as I progress through the book to discuss my thoughts.
Part one of the two-part movie blockbuster Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was in theaters this weekend. My family and I went to see it tonight and I found it to be more of an informative movie. There was a lot of action and comedy too, but for any of you that read the book you know that there is a lot of down time as they travel around in their tent searching for horcuxes.
I will admit, I’m a bit of a sap when it comes to the Harry Potter series. I shed a few tears with this movie as I have become quite attached to these characters right from book one.
I won’t give anything away as I’m sure there are a few of you out there who haven’t seen it yet, but I will tell you something that I found pretty cool. I always re-read said book before that certain movie comes out, and as such I am reading the Deathly Hallows as we speak. When the movie ended I realized it stopped in the exact spot where I am in the book. Isn’t that neat!
Till later! 🙂
